Specialty Loads

We are also available if you need Hazmat, high-value loads, time-sensitive loads, or less-than-truckload (LTL) services. We also have Conestoga trucks available. A Conestoga truck uses a tarp and trailer to maximize the space available for a wide variety of load types.

If you have a material that requires Hazmat trucking, Maridum has a solution. Hazmat trucking is a specialized area of the transportation industry and involves the transport of materials and products that could potentially cause harm to humans. The purpose of this specialized area is to prevent the potential of rollovers and accidents that could cause a risk for explosion, fume release, or other dangerous circumstances.

Hazmat-qualified carriers must follow specific regulations regarding the loading, unloading, and storage of the materials. They must have appropriate signage and know how to handle an emergency if an event should occur. They must be registered as a qualified Hazmat carrier, and the owner operator must complete additional Hazmat training and certifications to have the endorsement.

Obtaining a Hazmat endorsement requires that you meet certain qualifications beyond your commercial driver’s license. You must be a U.S. citizen, pass a medical examination, pass a background check, and pass a Hazardous Materials Endorsement Knowledge Test. You must also meet certain requirements to keep your endorsement current.

Three types of endorsements include an H endorsement, N endorsement, and X endorsement. These endorsements determine what types of truck you can operate and the types of materials that you can haul.

Maridum has qualified operators who meet various certifications, so call us if you need to find a trusted hazardous material endorsed transportation service.

At Maridum, we pride ourselves on the ability to handle high-value loads and get them to their destination safely. We can also deliver time-sensitive loads and loads that are less than an entire truckload.

We offer many different services and can easily find someone among our qualified list of owner operators to handle your special needs. We treat every load with care and have developed a longstanding reputation in the industry for quality and timeliness.

A Conestoga trailer is an excellent choice for unusual loads that cannot be hauled by other means. They are easy to load and unload, and you can cover the equipment with the tarp. They are often used for odd-size loads, such as small helicopters, and larger items, such as construction equipment. They are used to haul steel, lumber, pallet loads, and many different types of materials.

The ease of loading and unloading helps drivers operate more efficiently because of this reduced time In preparing the load. Conestogas are available in 48 and 53-foot lengths with full sliding tarp systems. Many of them can haul up to 48,000 pounds, and they are an extremely versatile choice.

As you can see, Maridum offers a wide range of options for your transportation needs. If you have a load that is a little bit out of the ordinary, be sure to give us a call, and our friendly staff can help advise you on the best way to get your load to its destination.
